Spice, Macka Diamond headline Shades Pon de Beach

Two of dancehall's top female stars, Spice and Macka Diamond, will headline Shades Night Club's fifth annual day-and-night party, Shades Pon De Beach 2016.

The event takes place on Sunday, July 31, at its regular venue, Sugar Pot Beach, Rio Nuevo, St Mary.

Also on the line-up are Mikeylous, Devin Di Dakta, Extreme Pushers, Bad Boyz Entertainment and a special appearance by Twin of Twins.

A 'Stars of the Future' segment will feature the likes of Jimbolee, Savage, D Masked Man, J Rile, YVC, Bloods, White Diamond, Cashmere and Urban.

The show will be hosted by MC Tutu and Bad Boy Trevor.

"This strictly adult experience has captured the imagination of fun lovers the world over, as no other show in Jamaica offers such a wide variety of top-quality entertainment as Shades Pon De Beach," said promoter Lloyd Cameron.

He describes the event as "an expose of exotic art, as can be seen any night at Shades Night Club."

More than $100,000 in cash and other prizes are up for grabs during daytime events. Early activities include wet t-shirt, egg and spoon, three-leg race, musical strip, blind-man bluff and other contests.

Twenty five beautiful Shades Divas will be on hand to spice up the fun and games.

Night-time events begin at 8, with the first segment of the stage show, featuring up-and-coming artistes.

Ocho Rios-based Jimbolee, who is set to release his new album, Change, in the next few months, is expected to delight the crowd, so too Savage, who will be fresh from his Reggae Sumfest debut.

Female oil wrestling will separate the first segment of the stage show from the second, with an appearance from Spice.

Illusion, Hyperactive, Jugglements International, DJ Biggs and DJ Tourist, will provide music.

Event manager, Winston Carter, said the show is a unique brand.

"It is the ultimate party for adults only. If you look young, bring your ID, as no person under 18 years old will be admitted," Carter said.
