Eradication humble Fort in exciting match

Eradication sent shock waves through the domino world as they humbled defending champion Fort International 300-297 in a exciting count-down in the eighth round of the City of Kingston Cooperative Union/Jamaica Domino Federation Portmore/St Catherine League last Sunday.

With the win, Eradication (32 points), along with Waterhouse United who thumped Garveymeade 300-233, remain the only unbeaten teams in the competition. Fort are now third on 29 points, and are joined by Right Stuff also on 29. In other games, Correctional Services downed Naggo Head 300-296; Passagefort United beat Chedwin Strikers 300-270; Links United whipped Exceptional International 300-249; fifth place Spring Village (28 points) outlasted Felluchi Strikers 300-298 in a count-down; Mechanical Strikers clipped Ken's Wildflower 300-299. The competition continues tomorrow with matches scheduled for an 11:30 a.m. start.

Portals whip Benbow United 4-1

East Portmore Portals turned on the heat on Benbow United and whipped their openents 4-1 in a recent fixture in the St Catherine FA Division One League. In other games, Naggo Head clipped their Portmore rivals Rodwood 2-1; Travellers also had a similar 2-1 win over Beacon Hill United and Albion defeated Marcus Garvey United 3-1.

Massive come back by Spring Village

There were wild celebrations at the Spring Village Community Centre last Sunday after the community domino club, Spring Village, who are fifth in the league on 32 points, did the unthinkable. They came back from 35 points down at half time to second place Waterhouse United (33 points) and won by two points (300-298) in the City of Kingston Cooperative Union/ Jamaica Domino Federation Portmore/ St Catherine League. In other games, leaders Eradication, with maximum 36 points, got by Passagefort United 300-281; defending champs Fort International (32 points), currently joint second cut down Soursop Tree 300-273; Felluchi Strikers clipped Mechanical Strikers 300-299 in a pulsating showdown and Frazsiers Whip thrashed Garveymeade 300-265 after a dramatic come back as the victors trailed by 17 points, entering the final hundred games as Garveymeade faded badly. Meanwhile, Links United thumped Memory Lane 300-268; Right Stuff disciplined Braeton All Stars 300-280; and Correctional Services scolded Chedwin Strikers 300-296.
