Nineteen-year-old Mekieda 'Monique' Waldoo and her 24-year-old boyfriend, Shamar Williams, otherwise called 'Dim', are the latest victims in what was a bloody week for the usually peaceful parish of Trelawny.

Waldoo, who was unemployed, and Williams, an auto technician of Hyde district in Clark's Town, were murdered in their community shortly after 10 p.m. last Friday.

The police report that the couple left their home in a car to purchase food. On their return, they were ambushed and shot.

The explosions were heard and the police summoned. When the cops arrived, the two were found in the front of the car with several gunshot wounds.

Four persons were murdered in Trelawny last week, with investigators struggling to determine the motives for any of the incidents.
