People's National Party President Dr Peter Phillips addressing the party's 79th annual conference today at the National Arena.

Opposition leader Dr Peter Phillips says his government will be changing the electoral laws to ensure by-elections are held in a specified time.

Giving his first address as president to the annual conference of the People's National Party (PNP) this afternoon, he accused the government of playing politics with the announcement of the date for three pending by-elections.

The pending by-elections are to take place in St Mary South East, following the death of the PNP MP, Dr Winston Green; and in St Andrew South and St Andrew South West following the retirement of PNP MP, Dr Omar Davies and former PNP President and Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, respectively.
