Police corporal on wounding charge granted $100,000 bail

Police Corporal Winston Williams, who is charged with unlawful wounding, has been granted $100,000 bail with one to two sureties.

Corporal Williams was arrested and charged by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) on Wednesday and taken to the St James Parish Court.

He appeared before parish judge, Sandria Wong-Small, who offered him bail.

The matter was set for mention on March 21, 2018.

The charge stemmed from an incident which occurred on January 3, 2014 on Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay, St James.
