General manager of Kirk Distributors Limited, Lanna Bennett, and employee Hougart Brown get the nod of approval from this resident of the Jamaica Baptist Union’s Horizon Home for the Aged. They were among over 70 volunteers from Kirk Distributors Limited, Cari-Med Limited and Federated Pharmaceutical Limited working together under the umbrella of the Cari-Med Foundation, to bring cheer to residents of the home on Labour Day. The team gave the home a facelift and also spent time providing personal-care services and interacting with residents. A highlight of the day was the presentation of a donation of food, medical and cleaning supplies. The Cari-Med Foundation is the outreach arm of the group of companies owned by Glen Christian.

Young Cadell gets the hang of preparing a wall for rendering, with the help of JPS President & CEO Emanuel DaRosa, at the St.Jude’s Primary School in Kingston, on Labour Day. JPS teams were busy scraping and rendering parts of the wall of the auditorium, doing painting and general cleaning. The team also had a new stage built and installed a ramp to help disabled persons to access the auditorium.

The Right From Start Foundation provided support of over $1 million to schools in south western Jamaica. The main project for the foundation was a much-needed uplift to the Hodges Land Basic School, close to Black River. Members of the Hodges-land community assisted with the project.
