Rondell Positive gives scholarships to eastern Jamaica students
Ten students in Eastern Jamaica will receive Heart Praise Great Start scholarships to fund the first three years of high school. The scholarships are being made possible through the efforts of Rondell Positive and his team.
"My purpose is impact. What I want to be remembered for is the people I've impacted and the lives I've touched. Heart Praise Worship Fest is an extension of that," said Rondell Positive, who hosted the 9th staging, of Heart Praise Worship Fest, dubbed #PurposeCalling, at Colonel's Cove, St Thomas, on Labour Day.
"The entire concert is about impacting people through the event itself and the results of the event that pay for scholarships and other initiatives," Rondell Positive added.
Rondell Positive Music partnered with sponsors to assist in providing the funds for the concert and the scholarships. This year's sponsors include Purpose 101, Zinnias, Phidds Furniture & Appliances, GT Sounds, DAPS, and the NCB Foundation.
"The NCB Foundation is pleased to be sponsoring Heart Praise Worship Fest for the second time. This event is directly aligned with the foundation's focus on education and providing opportunities for Jamaican students to advance their education. It will help to realise our chairman's dream of creating opportunities for our nation's children to access tertiary-level education. This year, we have decided to assist by donating $100,000 to the top GSAT students of the parishes of St Thomas and Portland," stated Damian Sibblies of NCB.
