Espeut, Catholics lack credibility

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Peter Espeut is not credible on the issue of accountability. He is a Roman Catholic deacon, and his church covered up crimes against children over decades. An Australian archbishop sentenced for covering crimes against children refused to resign and was said by the judge to have shown no remorse.

I can think of nothing more despicable, criminal and outrageous as men of God covering up priests who rape children.

Petrojam corruption pales into insignificance when compared to child rape - the victims are minors! Why not write about accountability and the Catholic Church?
