He Hears, He Sees, He feels it all

Manchester, Jamaica:

It's the human tendency to want what we want and be able to have it now, forgetting traits called patience and tolerance.

We think when we cry out to God and make our requests known, things must fall into place almost always immediately, and if not, then we have been forgotten or we are being punished.

Elder Nardo Nish of the Victoria Town Seventh-day Adventist Church says quite the contrary, citing that God sees, hears, and feels everything and then acts in His perfect timing.

The love of Jesus Christ

"God cares, and you will only believe it when you witness it for yourself. When you experience the love of Jesus Christ, you can't help but trust that He will come through for you even when it seems like He is late."

While speaking at a church service recently, the elder stated that people give up hope in God and put hope in man - and that can never end well.

"You will go through moments when you think people will help you through, but only God can help you through them. You want to know who some of your friends are: be broke and can't be able to help them, then you will see, much like the Prodigal Son."

He further said: "Because I was in the situation, I can tell someone what they are going through. I can sympathise with those who are going through their rough patch, and I can care for them. God hears and sees and feels it all, and to some degree, so should we. As members of one body, we must offer ourselves to be used by God to help our brothers and sisters."

It is easy, he says, to lose hope, but life on a sinful Earth can never be easy.

"Jesus was on the cross for you, and this is not the time to deny Him, but time to acknowledge Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives, and He cares enough to deliver you from any situation. Remember, Christians are soldiers, and we can't put ourselves in a lukewarm situation because we think things aren't working out for us."

"God is able to carry you through your mountain-top experience because He cares enough. That woman with the issue of blood knew that Jesus cared enough to heal her even if she touched the very hem of His garment. It is our faith that will remind us that Jesus cares about us."

Nish explained that one may feel as though God will judge one based on their past and not help one in the future, but He doesn't operate that way.

"Surrender your heart and your problem. You have been going through a rough time in your marriage, you have been going from doctor to doctor with your sickness, but Jesus is saying you have not been to the Potter's house. He hears and sees and feels it all. Help may not come when we want it to, but it will be there right on time."
