Waiting in vain - No response from Tivoli president Seaga to GM's resignation

Former Tivoli Gardens Football Club general manager Brian Rose said that he has yet to receive a response from club president, Edward Seaga, after handing in his resignation in July.

Rose, who has been with the club for 15 years, first made his name as a manager with Olympic Gardens Football club, when they played in the league back in the late 1990s, before they were relegated in the 2000-2001 season. Rose then joined Tivoli Gardens, where he remained until last summer.

"I resigned in July for personal reasons, just leave it at that," he told The Gleaner. "It was difficult but it was a choice I had to make," he added.

"I don't know (what his reaction was), he did not respond (to resignation). So all I know is he didn't respond, so I don't know what his reaction was like," he explained.

Meanwhile, according to one source, the club is yet to find a replacement for Rose, and have started the Red Stripe Premier League without a general manager in place. The source noted that although Rose still offers assistance, he has officially parted ways with the club. However, it was revealed that the club has been assessing two candidates for the managerial role, but some issues regarding the structure of the club has been delaying the appointment.

Tivoli Gardens opened their Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) season with a 2-0 win over Montego Bay United at Wespow Park yesterday.
