COK partners with Bill Express to increase convenience for members
The COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union has partnered with Bill Express to increase access and improve the ease of convenience in making transactions for its islandwide customer base.
Under the terms of the agreement signed last Tuesday at the Trafford Place offices of Bill Express, a GraceKennedy subsidiary in New Kingston, the entire range of COK transactions, including loan payments, deposits, pension and insurance payments will be facilitated at any of Bill Express' 200 locations including post offices across the island, Jamaica Public Service Company offices, or online via BillExpressOnline.com
Speaking at the signing of the agreement, COK CEO, Aloun N'dombet Assamba noted her pleasure at the expanded reach the partnership offers to COK members. She said that openness to change and innovation had allowed COK to grow organically through innovative services to the point where it is the largest credit union in terms of membership in Jamaica and the English-speaking Caribbean today, serving some 270,000 members in Kingston and St Andrew, St Catherine, St Ann, Mandeville, Montego Bay and other parts of the island, as well as Jamaicans abroad in North America, the UK, Grand Cayman and other Caribbean countries.
"Our partnership is a natural fit and will be mutually beneficial as it reinforces both brands among our customer base," Assamba said.
In her comments, CEO of GraceKennedy Money Services (GKMS), Michelle Allen expressed her satisfaction at the partnership: "We are pleased to now have COK on board as one of our billers. This means that COK's customers will now be able to do their transactions at any of our more than 200 Bill Express locations. This is a perfect partnership, as Bill Express certainly has the reach in locations, not just through brick and mortar, but also online, and can only lead to increased growth for both of our brands."
