Video showing persons in military uniform committing crime under probe - JDF

The police are probing an incident captured on video showing persons dressed in civilian attire and military uniform committing a crime.

Civil Military Cooperation Officer for the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Basil Jarrett says they are aware of the video and the probe is being done with their full cooperation.

"The JDF takes very seriously any action that impugns the reputation of the organisation directly or indirectly. The public is assured that the Force is committed to upholding its core values as it continues to serve the nation," Jarrett said in a statement to the media.

The public is being encouraged to report any suspicious or criminal activity by persons wearing military uniform to the JDF tip line 876-837-8888, Headquarters JDF Duty Officer 876-960-8776, Military Police 876-784-0590 or police 119.
