17 new COVID-19 cases bring total to 305

Jamaica has recorded 17 new coronavirus cases increasing the total to 305. 

The Health Ministry says 12 of the 17 are linked to the Alorica call centre in Portmore, St Catherine, one is the contact of a confirmed employee, two are contacts of a confirmed case, and two are under investigation. 

Overall, there have been 28 recoveries and seven deaths.

The 17 new positive cases comprise six males and 11 females. 

The Health Ministry is still awaiting details on one of the new patients but it said the ages of the 16 others range from 21 years old to 59 years.
