Liberal Party Parliamentary Secretary William Amos.

A Canadian politician who appeared naked during a virtual parliamentary meeting has been left red-faced once again.

William Amos made headlines earlier this year when he appeared in the buff on an internal feed for a House of Commons meeting and has now apologised for urinating during parliamentary proceedings.

Amos, who represents the Liberal Party in Quebec, said he will be temporarily stepping away from his role as a parliamentary secretary after the incident last week.

In a statement posted on social media, he said: "Last night, while attending House of Commons proceedings virtually, in a non-public setting, I urinated without realising I was on camera.

"I am deeply embarrassed by my actions and the distress they may have caused anybody who witnessed them.

"While accidental and not visible to the public, this was completely unacceptable, and I apologise unreservedly."
