Cavalier and Harbour View played to a 1-1 draw in the lone Jamaica Premier League (JPL) game played at the UWI/JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence on Monday afternoon.

Bryan English fired Cavalier into the lead in the 25th minute, but Oquassa Chong earned them a share of the points with a 56th minute strike.

Cavalier got off to a great start, as 12 minutes into the match, English ran on to a through pass behind the Harbour View defence and lobbed the advancing Tafari Chambers in goal to give his team the lead.

Kamoy Simpson got a great chance to add another on 20 minutes but his tame effort failed to really trouble Chambers in goal.

Dwayne Atkinson also came close ten minutes later but he placed his effort wide, after he was played through by Shaneil Thomas.

Thomas also came close in the 35th minute but his effort from five yards was smartly stopped by Chambers in goal.

The half ended with Cavalier looking the more threatening and more likely to score again.

Immediately after the break, Kyle Ming and Thomas came close to adding to Cavalier's lead, but both missed good chances in the area.

However, Harbour View got their equaliser through Oquassa Chong who was played in by Luca Levee.

Chong's shot was initially blocked by goalkeeper Jeadine White and was cleared off the line, but the clearance rebounded off the back of a fellow defender and back into the goal.

Captain Simpson should have put Cavalier back into the lead though but he put a sitter over the bar from 12 yards out in the 84th minute.

Cavalier continued to press for the winner and had good opportunities through Atkinson and Courtney Allen but could not make them count.

The result leave Cavalier on four points, and Harbour View with two from as many matches.
