Jamaica opens Gold Cup Campaign with 2-0 win over Suriname

Jamaica defeated Suriname 2-0 in their Group C opener of the Concacaf Gold Cup at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida moments ago.

First-half goals from Shamar Nicholson in the sixth minute and Bobby Reid in the 26th minute were enough to give the Reggae Boyz the victory.

Jamaica finished with seven shots, six of them on target while Suriname had 10 attempts with only three testing goalkeeper Andre Blake.

Jamaica's next game is against Guadeloupe on Friday.
