Sagicor Group Jamaica, through its charitable arm, Sagicor Foundation Jamaica, held a press briefing last week to name the patrons for its 2022 staging of the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run, which will be in its 24th year. Reigning Olympic champion in the men’s 110m hurdles, Hansle Parchment, and Olympic bronze medallist in the women’s 100m hurdles, Megan Tapper, were announced as patrons. Next year’s Sigma Run event will feature three race categories – the virtual run, the corporate ‘bubble’ run, and the invitational run. All proceeds from the run go towards procuring medical equipment for the Kingston Public Hospital. Part proceeds will also be donated to a charity of choice for each patron. Something Extra brings you the highlights.
