KC stay perfect, Excelsior eliminated

Kingston College defeated Excelsior 2-0 in their final quarterfinal group 2 game at Ashenheim Stadium this afternoon.

First-half goals from Ronardo Burgher and captain Jemone Barclay in the 13th and 15th minutes ensured the many-time champions progessed to the second round with a perfect record in the group (three straight wins).

Excelsior were eliminated from semi-final contention as the defeat, combined with Charlie Smith's 4-1 win over Kingston Technical was not enough to see them progress.
