Dunbeholden hold Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant Academy remain the only unbeaten team in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) but they lost their perfect win record, after a 1-1 draw with Dunbeholden at the UWI-JFF Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence on Sunday.
After an evenly contested first half Mount Pleasant went in front in the 56th minute when Daniel Green sent a ferocious shot past Damien Hyatt in Dunbeholden's goal after a 30 metres run which took him past past three defenders.
However, Dundeholden earned a share of the points when the club's leading scorer, Atapharoy Bygrave, raced on to pass in the fifth minute of added time and beat Arel Clarke in the Mount Pleasant goal for his fourth goal of the season.
Mount Pleasant are now on 13 points, one clear of Waterhouse at the top of the JPL standings after five matches. Dunbeholden stayed third with 10 points.
