Jheanelle Pinnock and Jeremy Anderson have embarked upon a mission to take their love all across the island, learning more about the culture while strengthening their unique soul connection.

“We believe that adventure and exploration helps to build a deeper bond and connection outside of the norm. It allows couples to unwind from daily tasks while getting to know your partner more intimately in different settings. For us, we find that it allows us to create magical memories that we can reminisce on for weeks,” the pair told Saturday Living.

So what inspired this dynamic duo to go on this cross-country excursion? For the two, it was a mutual appreciation for discovering the island’s hidden gems. “To be honest, Jeremy is more of a ‘homebody’. But we both have degrees in hospitality and tourism management. Travel is just something that really grew on us over time as we developed a desire to explore and learn about our country. From that desire, we started to venture off to different places that were closer to us,” Pinnock said.

But they took their passion one step further. They decided to document their findings and subsequently shared their experiences through the vlogging experience. “We wanted to share our journey from the perspective of a young couple visiting different locations with lots of love, fun and authenticity.” Their aim is to motivate other couples to break away from their regular routine by exploring different dating ideas together that will create new and lasting memories.

The vlog, Explore with J&J, launched in January of this year and highlights their encounters together, from having candle-lit dinners on the bedroom floor and picnics at Hope Botanical Gardens to visiting new restaurants and attractions.

“We have been to several restaurants, Airbnbs and attractions in the Corporate Area and southern part of the island. This includes gems like Gordon Town Falls, YS Falls, Broken Plate and even ROK Hotel. We also really enjoy a good picnic at Hope Gardens. A lot of our early relationship moments started here as it was the spot we first said we loved each other. This spot has grown to mean a lot to us. It is a relaxing and quiet escape to recharge while living in the Corporate Area. We have most of our wine dates here, and I recently planned a surprise birthday picnic for Jeremy,” Pinnock shared.

Putting their styles and personalities on display, they bring a level of quaint charm and authenticity in their delivery that is both refreshing and inviting. “We add a unique perspective and we are both goofballs, more so Jeremy, with our creative personalities. The feedback has been astounding yet exciting. Since posting our first video, friends and strangers are excited to join us on our journey of exploration. Our audience has been surprisingly enjoying our love story the most,” they jointly revealed.

Although the journey has been a bed of roses, time and money have been two major thorns along the way. This hasn’t deterred the two from living their best lives together. “Together we have drafted a travel calendar to organise our time and budget. We use this to plan ahead for the places we want to visit. We also try to find affordable or free spots we can enjoy.”

So what’s next? High on their bucket list of explorations are Blue Mountain Peak, Cane River Falls, the Strawberry Fields Together villa, Blue Lagoon, Excellence Oyster Bay Resort, Dominican Republic, Curaçao, Italy and Hawaii. “We have also been getting a lot of travel and date recommendations that we are excited to try soon,” Anderson shared.

The duo spent Valentine’s Day earlier this week at the spa, creating an at-home date experience filled with fun and surprises. They hope to inspire others to explore this beautiful country, regardless of their time, budget and fears. “We believe everyone should travel more as it rejuvenates the mind, body and spirit. We also hope it inspires other couples to incorporate travel into their dating routine as it creates a deeper bond with memorable and magical experiences,” they added.

If you’re looking to engage in fun activities this weekend, the couple strongly recommend these activities: a paint and sip event at your dinner table, on your living room floor or in you garden, a picnic in the garden, a park or your backyard, hiking at Holywell or the Blue Mountains or a private dinner at your favourite or a new restaurant.
