Portmore edge Arnett to advance to Lynk Cup quarterfinals
An added-time penalty converted by Chevaughn Walsh carried Portmore United to a 3-2 win over Arnett Gardens in their round of 16 clash in the Lynk Cup knockout competition at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Monday.
Walsh initially put Portmore in front in the 10th minute before Marlon Martin equalised for Arnett Gardens in the 33rd.
Substitute Kevaon McGregor handed Arnett Gardens the lead in the 62nd minute before Alex Marshall levelled the score at 2-2 in the 74th.
Substitute Shakeon Satchwell won a penalty deep into second-half added time, with Walsh stepping up to seal the 3-2 victory.
In other games, Harbour View defeated Falmouth 4-0, Mount Pleasant edged Vere United 1-0, and Dundeholden had a 4-1 win over Treasure Beach FC.
