#BudaQuest | Nugent, Williams advance to 100m hurdles final
Jamaica's World Championships debutant Ackera Nugent and former champion Danielle Williams qualified for the final of the women's 100-metre hurdles in Budapest, Hungary on Wednesday.
Nugent qualified automatically after placing second in semi-final two in 12.60 seconds. The semi-final was won in 12.56 by world record holder Tobi Amusan of Nigeria.
Williams advanced as one of the fastest losers after placing third in semi-final three in 12.50. That semi-final was won by Puerto Rico's Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in 12.41.
Megan Tapper (12.55) placed fourth in semi-final one and failed to advance. The fastest qualifier for the final was American Kendra Harrison who won semi-final one in 12.33.
