Caribbean Neurosciences Symposium set to ignite innovation in MoBay

THE CARIBBEAN Neurological Association, in partnership with the Department of Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and the University Hospital of the West Indies, announces the 22nd Caribbean Neurosciences Symposium, taking place at the Half Moon Resort from February 8 to February 10.

This annual symposium continues to be a cornerstone event, providing essential updates for physicians, vital instruction for residents-in-training, and exclusive opportunities for interviews with visiting faculties regarding electives and fellowships.

This year’s diverse programme covers an array of topics, including trauma and critical care, infection, inflammatory conditions, cancer, orthopaedic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, spine and neurosurgery, radiation oncology, minimal access surgery neurosurgery, neurological emergencies, neurology, neuroradiology, endoscopy, spine and critical care, faciomaxillary, ENT, and reconstructive issues in neurosurgery.

Highlighting the international prestige of the event, the symposium features distinguished speakers such as neurosurgeon and neurointerventionalist Dr Brandon Davis, and neurointerventional surgeon Dr Norman Ajiboye, both hailing from the renowned hospital Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida.

Dr Davis will share insights into ‘Decision-making in skull base and open cerebrovascular neurosurgery’, while Dr Ajiboye will explore ‘The new frontiers in endovascular neurosurgery: Curing brain disease by exploring cerebrovascular highways.’
