Gun seized in Westmoreland police operation, four arrested

Four people were arrested in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland today following the seizure of a firearm during a raid.

Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.

The police report that about 4 a.m., a team, acting on information, conducted a targeted raid on Cooke Street.

They say a premises was searched and a Smith and Wesson nine millimetre pistol with a magazine containing eight 9mm cartridges was seized.

The four occupants of the house were subsequently arrested.
