Grace Foods, a subsidiary of the GraceKennedy Group, has announced that its inaugural Grace Food Festival will take place on Saturday, August 24, at Hope Gardens in St Andrew.

Speaking at the festival launch, which took place last Thursday at the company’s headquarters in downtown Kingston, Frank James, chief executive officer, GK Foods - Domestic, explained, “The festival will be a celebration of Grace’s rich history, our deep-rooted connection to Jamaica, and our commitment to bringing people and families together through the joy of food.”

He added, “For more than 102 years, Grace has been more than just a brand; we’ve been a part of the fabric of Jamaican life. This festival represents a new era for Grace Foods as we continue on our mission of creating memorable moments by connecting families for life through food.”

Entry to the festival is free of cost with four Grace labels, or $1,000 for adults. Children under the age of 12 will enter free.

Karen Mussington, festival lead and shopper experience manager, sponsorship and events, Grace Foods, echoed James’ sentiments in her remarks, noting that the festival is a continuation of the company’s commitment to innovation, while honouring its rich legacy, which is rooted in wholesome family traditions.

“This festival is in honour of Jamaica and Jamaicans – it is a celebration of our rich heritage, our culture, our talent, and who we are as a people. We will have several food vendors, artisans, and live performances that will delight and satisfy the senses of our patrons,” said Mussington.

Mussington shared that festivalgoers can also expect a variety of family-friendly activities that both adults and children can enjoy. These include rides and games, giveaways, and a shopping village where parents can purchase back-to-school supplies.

“There will be a number of surprises too that we know our patrons will love and appreciate. We invite families and communities to come out and immerse themselves in the vibrant flavours and traditions of Jamaica, and enjoy all the offerings that will be available on the day,” Mussington added.
