Andrew Hudson’s second consecutive major championship team translates to his first Olympic team, as he continues his chapter in the Jamaican colours.

United States-born Hudson made the switch to represent Jamaica in 2022, winning the national 200m title. However, his transfer of eligibility did not come through in time for him to make the World Championship squad for Oregon that year.

Hudson would get his chance at the World Championship stage when he retained the title and got his chance to represent Jamaican on a major global championship team. He would get to the final on his first try, finishing eighth. His personal best is 19.87 which he believes he will have to reach again to get a chance at getting Jamaica’s first medal in the event at a major global championship since 2016.
