Sunday’s PAN 2024 to celebrate J’can food, culture and entertainment

PAN 2024, presented by CB Chicken, is set to ignite Independence Park in Black River, St Elizabeth, on Sunday, with mouthwatering flavours, electrifying entertainment, and family-friendly fun. Gates open at noon for the free event that offers something for everyone – from the biggest food lovers to those seeking an exciting day out with the family.
Fans can look forward to performances from artistes such as Christopher Martin, Ding Dong, Jahshii, Laa Lee and Rondell Positive. Miss Kitty and Duffy will host the day’s festivities.
A celebration of Jamaican culinary talent and entrepreneurship, PAN 2024 competitors will battle it out for a share of the impressive prize pool and, of course, bragging rights.
The winner of the competition will take home more than $1 million in cash and prizes, including a year’s supply of CB Chicken and National Bakery Bread.
In addition, the Sauce Boss Competition powered by Grace Foods, will crown the best sauce-maker, with cash prizes and gift baskets up for grabs.
Ding Dong, who will be performing at the event, shared his excitement, saying, “PAN 2024 is where food, culture, and community come together, and I’m proud to continue to be part of this event. It’s all about supporting our Jamaican entrepreneurs who are bringing their best to the table and showcasing what makes our island so special. PAN 2024 is designed to be a family-friendly event, with something for everyone. The Kiddies Village, sponsored by Caribbean Passion, will feature face painting, rides, and fun activities to keep the little ones entertained. Meanwhile, the CB Group Health and Wellness Centre will be on-site with the Ministry of Health’s Know Your Numbers campaign, offering free health checks to ensure everyone is in tip-top shape to enjoy the festivities. Courts Optical will also be present, providing Optical Exams for attendees.
