Fire guts store in Spanish Town

A probe is being undertaken into a major fire that gutted a store in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Thursday.

It is reported that about 6:00 p.m. fire was seen coming from a section of Trip Fashion store, which is located at the corner of Young and Morrison streets.

The blaze happened on the ground floor, which houses storage.

The fire department was called, which tackled the blaze.

Cooling down operations continued today.

The fire department has yet to quantify the loss or origin of the fire.

It was not revealed if the business was insured.

Operators of the store were tight-lipped when our new team visited the scene.
