The Wesley Davis Memorial Foundation has identified its first two scholarship winners as Mia Crosdale and Khadera Smith, students of the Cedar Valley Primary School in St Thomas.

Crosdale and Smith were chosen to receive scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year, with each receiving US$500 as a one-time grant to attend a high school of their choice.

The two winners were selected based on academic achievement, community involvement, and financial need. Applicants were also requested to submit an essay demonstrating their career aspirations, financial need and plans to use their education to benefit the Cedar Valley community in the future.

The annual scholarship was established and sponsored in the name of the late Wesley Davis in 2024 by his family. The purpose is to honour Davis’ dedication and commitment to improving the lives of the residents of Cedar Valley.
