The police are appealing to motorists who had their cars broken into or stolen at last night's football match at the National Stadium to come forward and make a report.

A viral video showing several cars with damaged windows has been making the rounds on social media platforms, with some users calling out the security arrangements at the stadium.

Acting Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of St Andrew Central Division Rory Martin told The Gleaner that the police have so far received three reports.

Two of the reports were for break-ins and stolen property and the other was for a car that was stolen, which has since been recovered.

“We are aware of a video making the rounds on social media, I have seen the video, but I can't speak to the authenticity of that video. What I want to encourage persons who are in fact victims of car break-in, we need them to report it because the only way we can fix a problem is if we know about it.

“So, I am recommending that if persons were so impacted or affected that they make the reports so we can properly analyse what is happening there so we can fix it,” he said.
