A Jamaican woman in Trinidad and Tobago has reported being raped by a taxi driver yesterday.
The Trinidad Express newspaper says the rapist reportedly took the woman to an isolated area in Point Fortin and assaulted her, then left her at the roadside and sped off.
The incident occurred about 1.30 p.m.
The 26-year-old victim told police she boarded a black vehicle at Guapo/Cap de Ville Road.
However, she said instead of taking her to Fanny Village, the man drove towards Erin.
He then sexually assaulted and left her in the bushes.
The victim sought help from residents, who contacted Point Fortin police.
