Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson reads ‘I am a Promise’ - the story of Jamaican Olympian Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce - to the students of McCam Child Development Centre on September 6. Maj. Gen. Anderson engaged the students of the Kingston-based special needs institution as part of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s pre-observations of International Literacy Day (September 8), which expressed solidarity with the 25th Anniversary of the World Conference on Special Needs Education. The JCF is a major supporter in special needs development through its Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) that helps to fund the participation of the country’s special athletes at the Special Olympics.
