Grennell’s Driving School…..Shinning like a Star locally and Internationally

Grennell’s Driving school, located in Mona and Portmore, was recently awarded by the National Safety Council (NSC) in the United States. The company was recognised for its ‘Excellence in Driver Safety’, and owner Alphonso Grennell was also awarded for his leadership in teaching safe driving. “We were selected from many other training centres of the NSC,” says Alphonso Grennell, managing director and senior instructor at Grennell’s Driving School. “We are proud and also humbled to receive this award of excellence and service to road safety and the society in general,” Grennell adds.

This has been a personal mission of his, since he started his company over 20 years ago, as he wanted it to represent a level of integrity and professionalism. “When you run a company, you want persons to have confidence in it ,and so I ensure that our drivers are constantly upgrading themselves. Additionally, we received two Federation Internationale de I’Automobile, earlier this year. These awards were for the Jamaica Driver and Traffic Safety Expo initiative.”

The NSC Driving Course offered by Grennell’s is being described as the vaccine for this driving pandemic that is claiming the precious lives of too many Jamaicans annually. With over 480 road fatalities in Jamaica in 2021, Grennell’s Driving School is committed to continue offering the NSC Defensive Driving Course to preventing collisions, and by extension, avoiding motor vehicle injuries and deaths.

Grennell’s Driving School continues to offer training and professional services in defensive driving, security driving, emergency vehicle operation, driver assessment, backhoe, forklift/lift truck, aerial, telehandler, and learner driver training.
