Feb 9: JSE stocks rally

The Combined Index of the Jamaica Stock Exchange rose by 1,323.61 points or 0.78 per cent to close at 171,907.54 points on Tuesday.
More than 4.8 million units traded valued at $63 million. The top market movers of the 47 stocks that traded were Supreme Ventures Limited, which closed unchanged at $6.26; JMMB 7.50%, which rose three cents to $2.15; and National Commercial Bank, which rallied to close up by $1.61 at $42.66, regaining some of the ground lost on Monday.
The JSE Combined Index incorporates the main and junior markets. The JSE Index advanced by 1,442 points to close at 160,316.87 points. The Junior Market Index declined by 4.01 points to close at 2,296.37 points, while the JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.25 points to close at 158.91 points.
