Campbell to succeed Handa as head of KPMG Caricom

Tarun Handa will retire as head of KPMG in Caricom on September 30, but his successor has already been chosen.
Current partner at KPMG, Raymond Campbell, will assume the position of senior partner and country leader of KPMG in Caricom the day after Handa steps down.
Handa has been with KPMG for 37 years, and for 16 of them he has been the managing partner for KPMG Jamaica. Then three years ago, in 2021, he was named senior partner for KPMG Caricom, following the integration of firms in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Eastern Caribbean.
Campbell has had a long career in banking, finance, and professional services sectors spanning 36 years, KPMG said in making the announcement.
In his early career, Campbell exited the accounting field to enter the financial sector. His track record includes positions of head of capital markets for FirstCaribbean International Bank, with the role of country manager for FCIB Jamaica added later. Following his exit from FirstCaribbean as both regional head of capital markets and country lead for Jamaica, Campbell returned to KPMG in 2006.
Campbell currently serves as advisory head for the Caricom region.
