The Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) said it is cognisant of the intermittent disruptions and resulting delays that its customers have been experiencing with the Automated Customs Management System.

It said it has undertaken activities to effect additional counter and corrective measures, having identified some root causes resulting in the interruptions while it completes a comprehensive review and verification.

“We are actively working with our local and overseas service providers having expended additional resources to resolve our issues,” the JCA said in a release.

It said that in the coming days it is expected that maintenance work may be necessary during normal working hours.

“We are asking for your anticipated understanding for such interruptions, which are unavoidable as we make improvements in the various components of the system,” the JCA said.
