Pulse’s Francine James covers June’s L’Officiel

Pulse cover girl and multi Vogue star, Francine James, is the cover of this month's hot fashion major, L'Officiel. The Vogue Germany and Vogue EspaÒa star has added yet another cover to her editorial portfolio. Other covers include Suitcase, Companere, and promotional covers for John Lewis, among other clients.

Apart from fashion's most important publication, Vogue, and her magazine covers, her other editorial features include Elle and Marie Claire. James shot the heavyweight fashion publication Marie Claire in London, two weeks ago, with photographer Jason Heatherington and stylist Abisoye Odugbesan.

James is pleased with her latest coup, which follows a string of successes since she returned to the international market after battling illness earlier this year. Undaunted, even though this illness caused her to miss the fashion collections in February and March, she has returned with a bang, as she continues her climb up the fashion ladder.

At the start of 2016, she shot Vogue EspaÒa, having shot the German edition last summer. In January, she flew to Cape Town to shoot Elle, appearing in 10 pages of the magazine.

ASSIGNMENTS THIS YEAR

Her slew of assignments this year include campaigns for H&M, Gucci, and Westfield, among other brands.

James started her international career at the Paris shows last February. All other Caribbean models who hit the spotlight in 2015 have been in the international market for a number of years.

At the end of 2015, she was featured for the first time on models.com. The industry site picked up on her breakout success with Vogue Germany (published last December). As her editorial images pop up in various markets, her Companere cover highlighted the Jamaican's classic beauty.

Looking back at her brief career, James has spent most of her time in Europe, other than for brief stints in Hong Kong and South Africa, where she went to execute specific assignments. In Europe, she worked for clients in Paris, London, Milan, Stockholm, and Amsterdam. These clients include 1981, ESPRIT, John Lewis, Vlisco, Ahlens, LNDR, Vogue, Todd Lyn, Vanessa Steward, Marios Schwab, Faith connection, Companere, Marie Claire, and Olympia Letan. Her work also included covers for Companere and John Lewis.
