Organisers of the Wickie Wackie Music Festival, which was scheduled for last Saturday but postponed due to persistent showers, are putting measures in place to ensure that, rain or shine, it takes place tomorrow.

Demar Gayle of Raging Fyah told The Gleaner that the show will still be outdoors at the Wickie Wackie Beach, Bull Bay, St Andrew. Gayle explained that this time we have put in place preparation in case of the rain. The venue has a house that we are planning to use if it begins to rain. So patrons need not worry, the show will go on."

Gayle said that if anything affects the show drastically then it might not happen until next year. However, he foresees no issue big enough to result in a cancellation.

While the space indoor is smaller than that outside, Gayle told The Gleaner that patrons have expressed that they do not mind being crammed together if it means the show goes on. He related the disappointment many faced last week as they turned up, only to find that the show was postponed. "If the rain falls and it means all of us have to hold in a smaller place, then I think people will be OK with that. As long as the show continues and we get to hold a vibe, people will be satisfied. It may not be as comfortable as people would want it to be, but right now, with the rains, it's the best we can do," Gayle said.

The entertainer also said the line-up has not been affected.. "Luckily, everyone is available for this weekend, so we will have the same set of performers. It's a team effort y'nuh, so everybody is rallying around the event," he said. "All tickets from last week are still valid, so people can just come out and expect a good time." Persons who were already inside the venue last week can access the show tomorrow, as long as they can present their armbands.

The line-up features Jah9 and The Dub Treatment, Notis Heavyweight Rockaz, Earthkry, Chevaughn, Koffee and 6 Points, with recorded music by Rockaz Sound Station, Yaadcore and Gabre Selassie.
