Five powerful female selectors are ready to take patrons on an intense musical odyssey during 'A Taste of Africa Pt. 2" to celebrate the Ethiopian New Year - 'Enkututash,' on Tuesday, September 11.

The event, presented by Motherland Promotions of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, will be held at their Hope Road headquarters starting at 6 p.m.

The star-studied line-up of 'Sistah Selectahs' will include international DJ and actress Sister Carol, known as the 'Black Cinderella', who will gave a taste of both her riveting singjay styling as well as her prowess as a selector. Wave Empress, a favourite at the popular Dub Club sessions, will represent a new generation heavily influenced by the sounds of Augustus Pablo, Dennis Brown, and musicians such as Monty Alexander, Ernest Ranglin and Dwight Pinkney.

Iset Sankofa, known for her Sankofa Sessions, will also bring a stunningly refreshing sound, mixing blues with Dub Dancehall and bubbly Brazilian Electronica, all driven by the roots of Mother Africa.

DJ Marshmello, who has music in her DNA, is the first-born of Patroy McAnuff of the popular Love Bunch Sound System. She will sweeten the musical offerings with the unbeatable sounds of vinyl. DJ Yumi Hi-Power of the popular Sun City Radio Reggae Wednesdays, stamps her inimitable style on the evening's programme.

Together with this delectable musical treat will be a cuisine like no other, with a team of chefs preparing sumptuous dishes from North, South, East and West Africa, as well as Jamaican favourites.

Part proceeds from the event will go towards the JRDC School in Shashamene, Ethiopia, and the TTI/Dr Vernon Carrington Scholarship Fund in Jamaica.
