Set in the futuristic American Midwest, Ruth, a young woman with supernatural abilities, is on the run. Fearful of mysterious forces in hot pursuit, she is forced to seek refuge with her family in the farmhouse she abandoned long before. Having returned, she tries to mend the relationships with her mother and daughter but danger lies in wait.
