Yaadcore celebrates fatherhood with ‘Tension’

Imagine living under normal circumstances in one instance, only to suddenly stare down the barrel of death in another. This is the story of local recording artiste Yaadcore. The singer-songwriter explained to The Sunday Gleaner that the only thing he could think of in the life and death situation was his son.
As a catalyst for change, he decided to turn his almost tragic moment into music, with a song titled Tension. The inspiration behind the track stems from the simplest of things causing a big conflict - that in and of itself is the definition of tension. He explains further, “I went through a robbery which I touch on in the second verse. My first son was just born at the time and right through the robbery, all I could think is that my son would be fatherless. I wouldn’t know him and he wouldn’t know me.” So he chose to celebrate fatherhood, laying out all his love and dedication on track.
The producer and selector also pays homage to his friend who goes by the name Tention, but sticks to the root of friction throughout. Featured on the Rebel Chant Riddim, the song is produced by Switzerland’s Top Rankin Production. Promotions are already underway, with many anticipating heat in the streets from this exceptional journey. Tension is set to be released this Father’s Day.
