Dancehall artiste Spice has been making her début on various international platforms this year like The Wendy Williams Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live with her Go Down Deh hit with Sean Paul and Shaggy. As the year culminates, she's done it again, making former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama's 2021 favourite music playlist.

"I've always enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, so it's no surprise that I listened to a little bit of everything this year," Obama said in a Facebook post. "I hope you find a new artiste or song to add to your own playlist."

Spice posted the list tagging her collaborators, VP Records and the Recording Academy. The song is on her début album 10, which is nominated for a Best Reggae Album Grammy.

"Just when I thought my year couldn't end any better, Mr President @barackobama announced that he's been listening to my song Mmmnnn Go Down Deh‼️ Woooiieeee Mi Price gone up again #GrammyNominated."

The music video for Go Down Deh has garnered more than 36 million streams since its première seven months ago. The three are the only Jamaicans to make his list this year. Other songs include Montero by Lil Nas X, Nobody by Nas featuring Ms Lauryn Hill, Broken Horses by Brandi Carlile, and Freedom by Jon Batiste.

Koffee has made frequent appearances on his popular playlist, with Toast making his 2019 summer playlist and 2019 year-end playlist. Toots & The Maytals were also included in his summer playlist with the classic 54-46 That's My Number.
