Dancehall artiste Eveana ‘Pamputtae’ Henry is giving all praises to God for the reinstatement of her United Kingdom (UK) visa after 11 years.

Speaking with The Gleaner, the Single Mother singer expressed her joy following her announcement on Instagram.

“I’m feeling real good. It gives me the chance to do the things needed for my children, my family and of course the community. Mi have good music out there, so mi jus need fi get out and share it with the world,” an excited Pamputtae said, adding that her fans can expect the best of her when she makes her glorious return, describing it as “a different kettle a fish”.

The entertainer was denied when she reapplied for her UK visa around 2013 after she lost her United States visa.

“At the time my [US] work permit was expired. But a friend of mine put me on a flyer for an event he was hosting, advertising that I was coming to the event to perform. I had no intentions of working, I was just attending the event to show support,” she shared.

Pamputtae explained that her visa was revoked while at the airport trying to enter the US, and she was sent home.

“Anuh like mi do nothing bad. A jus simple mistake. That’s why mi haffi learn from it,” she said.

Pamputtae further explained that a travel agent she was working with put incorrect information on her UK visa application form which led to the document being denied.

“With England, they ask you specifically if you ever have anything cancelled before. And [I said] yes, my US visa get cancel. But she put no. So that cause a problem with England,” she said.

This resulted in a ban and she was denied multiple times when she reapplied.

While the loss of the visa restricted her, she says she never gave up hope that it would be returned, and is encouraging other artistes to do the same.

“A jus God an’ time. That’s all me can tell them. Put in the work and don’t give up. It rough mi a tell you, cause you can’t earn certain and certain way. But a jus God an’ time,” Pamputtae said.

Pamputtae is the most recent dancehall artiste to receive her UK visa. Dancehall veteran Rodney Price, more commonly known as Bounty Killer, had his UK visa reinstated after several years.
