An epic battlefield experience awaits with GenXS.

GenXS Carnival is set to dazzle soca fans on Saturday, January 27, with the launch of ‘Immortal's Battlefield: The Ultimate Soca Wet Fete Experience’. The event, which promises to be an electrifying sunrise wet fete and the official send-off party for Jamaican revellers who are heading to Trinidad carnival, will happen at the Liguanea Club, St. Andrew.

With a panache for curating elevated experiences, GenXS promoters are promising patrons a thrilling immersion in water, powder, and the infectious beats of soca. GenXS Immortal's Battlefield in partnership with title sponsor, Rum Stripe, alongside Smirnoff, will build on the success of its highly acclaimed ‘Immortal's J'ouvert’ 2023 by introducing "battle stations" where participants can engage in fun and competitive party challenges.

GenXS director, Tagyei Belinfante, shared, "This event epitomises top-tier entertainment. We’re bringing in DJ Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, DJ Young Chow, and Gabby Davis, a renowned celebrity DJ, actress, and model. They'll grace the stage alongside local soca favourites, such as King Taj, Matt Camps, and Marc Chin of Coppershot. Following the success of GenXS Immortals J’ouvert for Carnival in Jamaica last year, Immortal's Battlefield is a natural progression and a spin-off from our flagship J’ouvert brand.”

Speaking further to what carnival-lovers can expect, Jodi-Ann Campbell, Rum Stripe brand manager, expressed, “This collaboration represents a fusion of passion, innovation, and the shared commitment to delivering an unparalleled experience for those who love the thrill of carnival. Teaming up with GenXS adds an electrifying dimension to our journey, and Rum Stripe will be there to deliver an out-of-this-world experience.”

Belinfante shared that the event is tailored for friend groups to foster a sense of camaraderie and shared celebration. Attendees are encouraged to showcase their creativity with branded J’ouvert gear, flags, and outfits. Prizes await the best-designed gear and the largest crew. Furthermore, for every four tickets purchased, the fifth is complimentary, making it an ideal opportunity for groups to join the festivities.

Groups can also compete in friendly "battlefield" competitions for additional prizes and bragging rights. Other activities will include a Zorb ball race and a giant hungry hippo grab-ball game.

GenXS director, Kino Johnson, said, "GenXS Immortal's Battlefield transcends mere event status; it's a meticulously crafted experience best enjoyed with your crew. If you're a soca aficionado, consider this your ideal carnival season kickoff. Bring your coolers; breakfast is on us. But remember, entry is before 8 a.m., as coolers won’t be allowed afterwards. Gates open at 6 a.m., so mark your calendars. This is your formal invitation to revel before daybreak, as this season indisputably reigns supreme.”
