The Grammy Honour Awards, an event dedicated to celebrating and honouring contributors to reggae and dancehall music who have yet to receive their Grammy certificates, takes place tonight at the Audi Showroom, ATL Automotive Jamaica, in New Kingston.

The event will bring together more than 200 members of the reggae and dancehall fraternity, including managers, producers, writers, artistes, and musicians, to recognise the achievements of those who have significantly contributed to albums that were nominated for or won Grammy Awards. The evening will see the distribution of uncollected Grammy certificates to past winners, ensuring that their contributions to the music industry are officially acknowledged.

AWARDEES

• Adrian Locke: Recognised for his vocal contributions to the Grammy-nominated album Simma.

• Aidonia: Celebrated for his role as a performer on the Grammy-winning album 44/876.

• Ansel Collins: Honoured for his exceptional keyboard performances on multiple Grammy-nominated and winning albums, including Breakout and Club Paradise.

• Bertram Ranchie McLean: Acknowledged for his instrumental contributions to several Grammy-winning tracks.

• Chester Walker: Celebrated for his work on Wailing Souls’ album Equality.

• Chevelle Franklyn: Honoured for her vocal contributions to Shabba Ranks’ Xtra Naked.

• Patrick ‘Black Pearl’ Howell: Celebrated for his role in shaping multiple Grammy-nominated projects.

• Ras Ajai: Acknowledged for his contribution to Sean Paul’s Grammy-nominated album, Live & Livin’.

• Salim Browne: Recognised for his contributions to Jesse Royal’s Grammy-nominated album, Royal.
