Reggae singer Bugle will unveil his fifth studio album, Apex, today. The 16-track album, which the artiste says “showcases a powerful journey through the human experience”, addresses themes of love, life, faith, and social justice.

Apex comes with an impressive roster of featured artistes. Reggae and dancehall legends such as Buju Banton, Barrington Levy, Capleton, Damian’ Jr Gong’ Marley, and Maxi Priest, among others, lend their voices to the project.

“Each collaboration adds a unique layer to the album, making it a must-listen for fans of the genre. The fusion of these iconic voices with Bugle’s thoughtful songwriting promises an unforgettable listening experience that will resonate with audiences worldwide,” the producers stated.

In a message filled with gratitude, Bugle reflected on the passion and purpose behind Apex.

“Your continued support turns dreams into reality,” he shared with his fans. “Music is a unique prescription that everyone fills. I carefully choose the words I use in my songs because I want to educate as much as I entertain.”

With standout tracks like Heads Up, Upside Down, Thank You Lord, and Murderer (Remix), Apex is poised to not only meet, but surpass the expectations of fans and critics alike.

Born Roy Thompson, Bugle has emerged as one of the prominent voices in contemporary reggae music. His love for dancehall and reggae music began from an early age while he was going to primary school, and he was later deeply influenced by the sounds of reggae legends such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Buju Banton.

Bugle got his break in 2000 when he met with fellow dancehall artiste Oniel Bryan, popularly known as Elephant Man. This led to him start writing songs for Elephant Man, and in 2001, Bugle was featured on his Good To Go Tour.

After a stint with Shawn Scott Music Group, he left and teamed up with DASECA Production Group in 2007. This led to his first hit single, What We Gonna do. He followed it up with tracks such as Pearly Gates, Don’t Blame Life, Summa Time, Anything Goes, Who Feel It Knows, and Doh feat. Serani.

Apex will be available on all major digital and streaming platforms.
