Jamaicans from all walks of life understood the importance of the visit of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, making the Civil Rights leader feel right at home with throngs of support wherever he went throughout his visit. The fact that he was given the keys to the city also tells that the history-making nature of his visit was not lost.
