In December 1973, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne and her husband Captain Mark Phillips delighted Jamaicans during their visit. The couple toured Hope Gardens, where they were warmly greeted by locals and accompanied by Agriculture Minister Keble Munn. They visited the National Children’s Home, engaging with staff and children, with Captain Phillips charmingly conversing with the young residents. Their trip culminated in a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Michael Manley and his wife.
