Posh goes Latina

Designer Tamia Carey, explained to Flair, "One thing we know about Latin women is that they embrace their curves. This is in tune with the styles we provide here at Posh."
She noted that when she had decided to do the Latina Collection, it was not hard to get into the groove. "I have long had a fascination with how fluid, vibrant, sexy, and fun Latinas are. I wanted to create something that would encompass not just the sensuality of the Latin culture, but the fun-loving and cheerful demeanour of the people as well. I started by choosing vibrant Afro-Latin prints, bright colours, and material that I was sure would keep women as cool as the Caribbean breeze touching their skin." The rest was fashionable history.
Confessing, too, that the Latin Collection was really about an expression of her love affair with our closest neighbour (Cuba), she dedicates it as an 'ode' so to speak, to them. "It's my ode to how well a Latina woman welcomes her body with open arms and the way in which she exudes confidence. This is who I designed this collection for - the confident woman who isn't afraid to bring it.
With plunging necklines, strategically placed cut outs and dresses that flows and moves romantically with each move, I think I was successful in creating the perfect line for the flawless woman or as the Latinas say it "una mujer sin defects", she added.
