Not much sizzling on the local front, so we took 'Twas Trending internationally. Here are the highlights.

Raymond Moore tanks

After at least 14 years of boycotting the Indian Wells, tennis sisters Serena and Venus recently returned. But not to welcoming arms, at least not from the director, it seems.

After the Victoria Azarenka and Serena Williams finals the CEO of Indian Wells, Raymond Moore, made an offensive statement about women tennis players. He allegedly said, "If I was a lady player, I'd go down every night on my knees and thank God that Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were born because they have carried this sport. They really have." He went on making more comments against female players and, of course, there was a backlash. Players present and past defended the women.

By the next day he stepped down from his position. But we have to say this is not only bad for sports but in every aspect of life; women have come too far to be pushed aside and looked on as insubordinate. We might not be built the same way but both genders are needed; as Azarenka said, "Every human being came from a woman."

Ne-Yo's baby

Ne-Yo now has a baby boy with his beautiful wife, Crystal Renay, and, boy, is he adorable. He and wife flood their Instagram pages with pictures of the cute little fellow born on March 16. We are happy for you, Ne-Yo! Treat him well.

BeyoncÈ's banging cousin

Ladies and gentlemen were getting in formation against BeyoncÈ last week, when she was photographed sharing the spotlight with two other women. The Queen Bee was supposedly stripped of her crown when they looked to her left and spotted a fuller-figured new queen, her cousin Kristin Douglas. Since her 'bootilicious' pictorial debut, Douglas has reportedly received more than 70, 000 followers on Instagram. Beyond the little shade thrown BeyoncÈ's way who deemed she was outshun by her cousin, no one can really hate the queen, everyone is just not happy that good 'looks' runs in the family.

Brussels bombing

It was unfortunate there was, yet again, another bombing claimed to have been done by Isis. The world was shocked last week when news of the incident broke about the attack in Brussels airport in Belgium. Our hearts and sincerest condolences go to all those who lost their lives and were affected by this traumatic experience. #prayforBelgium

Hot-up - a fire hazard

Some women out there are taking this hot-up dance way too seriously. Last week, a video of a female contestant from the Florida Dancehall Kings and Queen competition applying alcohol on the front of her shorts, then proceeding to light it as a performance stunt, went viral because her private parts were caught in flames. The show went on for the dancer, who continued competing, despite sustaining first-degree burn injuries to her inner thighs, and subsequently won the competition. First, one has to wonder if the organisers made her win the competition out of pity. Second, since she has won and will be participating in the international dancehall queen competition in Jamaica, we all want to know if she will be pulling the same stunt here. Just to be safe, let's have the Fire Brigade on standby.
